Good review. I can see where Dan's coming from with his complaints, but so far at least I think I'm just enjoying the gameplay more than he did. The customization/progression complaint seems kind of tough. On the one hand, I agree that those systems should be robust in an MP only game. On the other, I reallllllly don't care about or want sick skins and sights for starwars weapons. I could feel the same way Dan does 20 hours from now, but I don't have a good solution DICE could have implemented either.
The lack of single player is mostly a bummer just due to how goddamn gorgeous the game is. There are a few moments in the training missions that tease what could have been. Specifically the speeder bike mission on Endor, its shallow as hell, but flip to 1st person and enjoy the visual showcase for the few minutes it lasts! Admittedly it plays on nostalgia a lot, but its so awesome to see Star Wars locales looking this goddamn slick. Here's hoping that Visceral game thats allegedly using the same engine scratches the single player itch.
