PS3 Games I Own

List items

  • My first PS3 game, and excuse to finally get one! Played this one for a LONG time! It is such a vast improvement over the entire series. Love that they chose to copy NYC as the setting as it looks beautiful. My only dissapointment is the low amount of clothes in the game! There ae only 2 outfits that I like, but I wish there were more.

  • Brilliant game combo. Half-Life 2 is my favorite FPS of all time, and its subsequent episodes are as good as well! Portal is absolutley awesome. TF2 is fun, but that style of FPS multiplayer really isn't my cup of tea.

  • Utterly amazing! A huge fan of the series, and I was very pleased with this game. Everything about this is amazing. I love sneaking around and trying to take everyone out with nobody noticing!! While I like MGS3's story better, this one just has better gameplay overall.

  • Fun to play through once, but game play definately gets repetitive. Great art style and great characters.

  • Another great FPS, a nice short campaign with some intense parts. Multiplayer is pretty awesome, but I came into this 2 years after it had already come out so it took a while to catch up to those playing for a while before me.

  • I HATE racing games! But Burnout Paradise is one of my favorites!!! It has really intense car races and spectacular crash mechanics!!! As an open world racing game too it was just an absolute blast to race around at my leisure!

  • A pretty good strategy game. Havent finished it yet, but I plan on doing so sometime soon!

  • A perfect example of an open world game with much to do!! I love the post apocalyptic setting and everything in it. I have clocked about 100 hours into it, and most of that was even before I got to the Brotherhood of Steel HQ!! I took my time finding every waypoint then after that I tried finding all of the secret weapons! There is just so much freakin stuff to do in this!! I can't wait until my friend gives me back my copy so I can play all of the DLC!!!

  • Major dissapointment from Tim Schafer and his crew. Loved the setting and the characters, but that fucking RTS aspect ruined it completley. The controls for it are just so frustrating and the battles seemed nearly impossible because of it. They never explain it that great and I just couldnt get past one battle and I gave up. It has sooo many cool ideas (Freakin purple panthers with lazer eyes!) but none really last too long. You spend like a few missions in each locale and they are pretty much empty with dumb repetitive side stuff. Loved the nod to Grim Fandango. But this is such a dissapointment. If it had just been a third person action game I probably would have loved it more....but I do not like what we got

  • Even though the shooting isn't that great, it is definately tolerable enough to play through this amazing story! Drake is hands down my favorite video game character there ever was!! Just really an awesome experience!

  • As much I loved the first (which is a lot), this one is a thousand times better!!! The improver gunplay really adds a whole lot to this. It even looks way better than the first! The setting changes throughout it help make it a bit more interesting than just running through temples and rainforests. The multiplayer has got to be my favorite I have played. Co-op is the most fun in the world, and the arena mode is as well!! Although I do hate the deathmatch "Sniper and Pistole" battles, everything about multiplayer in this is amazing. Undoubtedly this is my game of the year!

  • Hands down my favorite "sandbox" open city game. GTA 4 was fun, but this is a lot more fun. The first game you get to play as a super hero that is actually worth while! I enjoyed exploring Empire City and being able to climb up everything! The game play is just as amazing. The powers are great fun to use, and whether you are good or evil you just want to shock the hell out of everything!! Definately one of my top favorites of the year!

  • I, and I'm sure everyone else, are shocked as to how great this game turned out being!! I thought the demo was just okay, but I never considered really buying it. But when it started to get universal praise, I knew that there had to be something I was missing. So I went out and got it as a semi-blind buy. And was I lucky that this was as amazing as it is! It is great to finally have a Batman game where you really feel like you are Batman! All of his gadgets are great fun to use. The "Free-Flow" fighting mechanic is so much fun to do. Everything about this is awesome. The atmosphere really makes you feel like you are stuck in the asylum with all of these eccentric baddies. The story and voice acting also stick out as well. Overall a really great suprise, one of the years best!

  • A pretty alright game, havent finished it yet but I really like the style of it. Some pretty good atmospheric music. Got this for $5 new in the clearance rack at Target!!! A pretty good deal if you ask me!

  • Love this game to death. Play it all the time with my friends and have soooo much fun playing random dumb levels!!! I'd like to get into creating stuff on my own, but I have a hard time getting away from playing fun levels!

  • Good dumb goofy open world fun. Makes me wish Rockstar will do Paris in one of their games sometime. A European city open world game with a bunch of polish would be sweet!

  • Finally got around to finishing it and I decided while it was enjoyable, I didn't care much for it. It had some great gameplay and interesting story points. But after the 75% mark I just didn't care to play it anymore and just grinded through. It has some really fun aspects. But overall I just wanted to finish and see the epic ending everyone was talking about. While it was cool that you end up playing as a completley different character after the story is finished, I really just didn't care at all. After getting his family and starting the farm back up, I wanted to kill myself doing the herding missions again. It was so fucking stupid. But I finished it to finish it. It was a decent game overall, but I doubt I will ever play it over again.

  • Such an amazing "game"!!!! Although I kinda do feel like it can only be played once. I may go back to it sometime next year to try different endings, but I dont know if I want to do some of the sequences over again.

  • Played some more of it recently, but I could not get past the bland 3rd person combat. It felt terrible and it was never interesting. It seemed as if the company had focused on the flying parts which were decent, but Crimson Skies was FAR more fun and interesting to play. It just kept making me want to go back and finally finish that game. Which I will probably do now after I've got it on my mind!

  • Liked it a ton at first, but it didn't hook me nearly as much as Fallout 3 did. It feels like Obsidian tried to capture what Bethesda did with 3, but only in the basics. The desert wasn't nearly as fun as the DC ruins and suburbs. I may finish it one day, but with Skyrim out now I doubt I'll ever play any of the previous Bethesda games. And god damn are those load times a bitch! Skyrims really made me realize how long New Vegas' were. I dont even think 3 had it as bad as NV!

  • What is it with me not finishing 2010 games at all??? I think I'm about halfway, I think. I've liked what I played so far. It has a neat art style and some pretty great characters. I hope to finish this some day!

  • And yet another 2010 unfinished gem. I loved AC2, but by the end of it I didn't want to play an AC game for a while. Then Ubisoft had to go and release another critically acclaimed one!! I WANT to play this so bad, but after just playing inFamous 2 I'd probably be trying to play AC as if it were IF2. Hell I kept clicking the stick in and trying to hover while playing Tron Evolution last week!

  • Completley blown away with this! I just never wanted it to end. Everything from the characters to the immense universe that you can explore! I actually didn't mind mining that much! It was just awesome to see how much time that BioWare put into creating all of these worlds and their descriptions! I hope to play through as a Renegade sometime soon, but there are so many games I have backed up now, even from last holiday!

  • This could quite be the game that I could never stop playing! I'm sure they will release LBP3 sometime down the line, but this one is so spectacular! The story was a really fun trip, though it only really merits one play through. The UGC is the star here. So many levels that are just pure brilliance. It makes me happy that there are people out there who don't care and will make levels despite the time and effort it takes! I've been working on and off on one for about the past 4 months and it still hasn't been published!

  • This is LITERALLY the only fighting game I have owned. I have never been a big fan, but this one is super easy for beginners to get into right away. The story mode was fun, but very aggrivating at times with their ridiculous 1v2 or even 1v3 battles, but I pushed forward through them. I am suprised too that I actually didn't completley suck at online. I have a pretty mean Kitana, though I don't know many juggles and honestly don't want to play like that.

  • Despite the rest of the games that 2011 has to offer, this may already be my GOTY. Such an awesome experience this game was to play. I was amazed that they were able to take the core gameplay from the original and make a 8 hour story driven game out of it! Everything in this game is perfect to me. From all of the voice actors, to the look and art style. I am willing to play it through again despite knowin the answers to all of the puzzles! Valve never lets me down!

  • I have been looking forward to this game ever since it was announced back in 2006. I love the noir genre and the post-war setting. Some games have attempted it, but none really captured that era at all. I also wanted a game where you solve murders and this one was it. My only gripe with it is that once you find out that all of the cases you've "solved" in the homicide desk were not the people you threw in jail, it is a major letdown. To think that you actually solved them and put the right guy in jail. Also the over arching story is a bit weak. There are flashbacks to Cole's past in the marines that really serve no purpose at all until towards the very end. And the end was a bit lackluster as well. I thought that many of the secondary characters had potential to be brilliant and well fleshed out as most Rockstar games are, but this one just barely scraped their personas, especially Cole. He is a do good cop who just wants to clean the streets of LA. But much of his story motives just kind of happen. He just happens to visit the bar singer and have an affair with her completley out of nowhere. But despite the story shortcomings I really do enjoy solving the cases. And I really do like this game quite a lot. It's just too bad that Team Bondi didn't have a better writing crew or get some help with it's story from Rockstar.

  • Hoooo boy, just finished this moments ago. It is very much a sequel to inFamous in every way possible. I love this game to death and it is really a blast to play. But I was a bit let down with the overarching story. But I guess I can't expect much from a super hero game. This game, a lot with it's predecessor, is all about the gameplay. Flying around the city and using a wide array of powers is the most fun had in any open world game. Epic battles happen over roof tops as you zap baddies and kick alot of ass. The addition of new powers including fire and ice is a great change from the first. As with LA Noire, I really wish that this had a better story. It really is just simply collect the blast cores to fight the beast. It could have used some more depth to it other than just that. I really liked the addition of friendly characters with powers, but they are far too underused. Nix and Kuo seem like really interesting characters, but neither really show much depth other than one is good karma and the other is bad karma. As with the original there are a few combat and traversal aspects that are a bit frustrating to deal with. One that really got on my nerves was Cole not being able to climb around most top corners of buildings. Often there are baddies on the roofs of buildings I'd like to sneak behind and attack, so I shimmy across the top side of a bulding hoping to circle around their back. Yet Cole can't go around a top corner of a building. You have to jump up and over to get to it, ruining my sneaking. Also getting overwhelmed with enemies happens here and there. My real beef with the game is how cheap some of the bigger enemies can be. The titan ice monsters can some how throw ice that goes around corners and hits you or goes through cover sometime. And hive queens are able to go underground and somehow appear on the roof of a building? Or a bridge? It just doesn't seem right. I was a bit dissapointed with the city design as well. The main city part is cool and fun to traverse and the flooded wastes are as well. The third island is just a kinda boring industrial part of town. If you look closely too many of the industrial parts buildings are the same models from the first city part just re-skinned with a more industrial park look. Again, despite all of my gripes, this game is a blast to play through. The addition of many more powers, the ability to switch them almost instantly. Infamous already had a perfect gameplay system, unlike the starts to the Assassins Creed and Uncharted series. So there wasn't much room for improvement overall. Infamous 2 did what it needed to, but there was still just a little bit more it needed to go from being a great game to being a stellar one. As much as I like Infamous 2, I think I might like to see Sucker Punch try something new. If not that then maybe a 3rd Infamous with many more advancements in it's lacking aspects.

  • I just realized that I haven't added any downloadable games at all for this list! Just got this last week but havent touched it because I was playing InFamous 2 a second time. I hope to play it soon!

  • I love this game to death. When I first played the demo I was iffy because I hadn't played many beat 'em ups like this. But then it grew on me and I found myself playing the same demo level over and over. So I finally bought it! It is tons more fun with a friend, but still great on it's own. The music is pretty amazing as well, I downloaded them from iTunes!

  • Yes, I bought Noby Noby Boy. Yes I enjoyed it for the first week I had it. Yes I've tried to go back and play it again. No, I have not played it for more than 5 minutes each time. The wacky charm of this one wore off quickly...

  • The Monkey Island series is one of my most beloved of all time. I havent played the original 2 completley, but I remember playing 4 a lot when I first got into adventure games. I would have bought this on a computer, but I don't have one fitted for running games well. They work well on PS3, but I'd love to point and click each time I play it. Havent finished these either...hell I've barely played Episode 1! What is wrong with me! I can never finish games I love!

  • GARCIA FUCKING HOTSPUR! What a wild ride this game was. It had it's highs and lows, but it sure was a fun ride. I wish it was a bit longer as I beat it quite quickly. Everything from the art style, to the funny dialogue. Johnson is hands down so far my favorite character of 2011. I think the only thing I really hated was the Super Boner part as it was more just annoying and something you were forced to do trying to change up the gameplay a bit. I even loved the loading animation of the 2D Garcia and the cool little tracks playing during it. Speaking of 2D the 2D scrolling shooter parts were a cool change of pace, but didn't feel right control wise. Other than those two gripes, I really loved this one. Well also a few bugs. Got stuck once when a scripted door opening didn't open, and another when one of those darkness hands weren't open for me to stab despite the area full of darkness. I was just happy to have a Grasshopper game that didn't feel like it had game play that I was trudging through to experince the weird mind of Suda 51.

  • Just beat the game and I am in love with it. The first is definately one of my favorites of all time, and this one probably sits right next to it on the list. It keeps the same brilliant gameplay of the first, while adding just enough to keep it interesting. I just love traversing the city as Batman. Pressing that R1 button and grappling to the nearest building is just so much goddamn fun! For most games the secondtime round with a similar gameplay style isn't as exciting, but AC keeps it great. I may not feel exactly the same I did about the first time playing Arkham Asylum since it was so new and innovative at the time, but I still love it. Both of the games really fit well together since they feel pretty much the same. I would have liked maybe more fleshing out of some of the villians and maybe a bit less of the Riddler trophies. But other than a few issues, this game is so fucking awesome. I have beaten it's story once now and did all the side missions and Riddler items, but for some reason I just want to go and explore the city even without much to do other than grapple, fly, and beat up random baddies. I think this years GOTY deliberation will be very similar to 2009's. But as of now this is my top game. Uncharted 3 looks amazing and I am super excited, but Arkham City has got a chance at topping this year's list!

  • A tad bit dissapointed with this one, but mostly because there was no way it could have lived up to 2 in anyway. 2 will always hold a special place in my heart, 3 will have to just settle for being a good favorite.

  • 30 hours in and I JUST did the first dragon battle....this game will own me for the next half a year or so like Fallout 3 did. This may be one of my all time favorites....I just love wandering the land, especially the snowy parts. All of it's randomness is the best part I think. Walk into an open field, run into a giant, dragon flies down and giant turns to kill that, we kill it together, giant returns to trying to kill me, sacrifice companion at the time to kill giant!! Pure greatness! Still not sure where my dog buddy went...I entered a hatch with a ladder on one of the towers and the dog wasn't with me. I assumed he tried to go find another door but there wasn't one :(

  • Hey guys, I played Saints Row the Third.
