I don't know what the deal is, but the video streaming on this site has gotten noticably worse over the past few months. It's hard to complete a single video without having to reload or the site just straight up crashes. Odd.
"If you do renew at full price, just email me at support and don't use the store code; I can cancel it and refund you the difference. It might take me a day or two to get back to you, though!" Ten years down the road and this is still the only method available to you? I deal with subscriptions and know how intensely irritating it is to have to employ these kinds of workarounds. Come on, devs! If you can retool the entire site to make it more 2018ish, you can help poor, old, old, old, Rory out and find a better solution to this issue than him having to refund people's subscriptions to get the balance straight and having to be informed about it via EMAIL.
Why are destructive environments so rare in modern games? Whenever even simple, brittle objects are breakable (light bulb, coffee cups, etc) it gets a mention in the press release. "In our game, bottles break realistically!"
If this kind of tech existed in the day of the 360, why is it still so rare?
This is easily the best new segment in your E3 2018 coverage. Getting an off-the-cuff look at how the coverage is put together is awesome and really humbling for us fatties who stay how home and just watch all of the work that goes into putting something like this together. Having covered many conferences, I can say that, without a doubt, you all are not being paid enough.
@jschlic: When I was 8 I tried to find out who sang that song. I kept waiting for them to air it again (no DVR, MP3s, or internet, for that matter) so I could watch the credits and see who they were. I finally figured out years later. The nostalgia is palpable with this game.

I miss (only a few) the gamespot days when you wrote more. Can you at least do a guest piece on GB so we don't have to wait an entire year to see another piece of your writing?
@olivaw: I agree completely. This is the second major press conference in a row where they've shown what appears to be mostly pre-rendered cinematics with the helpful, "We can't wait to share more details with you in the coming months." It makes me very worried for the production of this game. Next year they'll say, "We know Mass Effect: Andromeda has been delayed and we know you want to know some actual details about the actual game, and we really do want to show it to you... in the coming months. Now, forget about all of that! Here's another Battlefield live stream!"
The part where Will takes off his headset and his avatar crumples up and bugs out is one of the funniest things I've seen on Giant Bomb in a long, long time. I couldn't stop watching it.
