Great discussions, guys! Looking forward to the rest of the week.

I know nitpicking is sort of pointless, but it certainly seemed to me that among the arguments for Flight Simulator, very little of it was an argument for it being a Good-Looking Game. Vinny & Alex were clearly very passionate about it, but it really sounded like they were praising the technical accomplishment underlying the game rather than how the game actually looks.

I agree with Alex that it's an accomplishment that should be recognized, but Best-Looking Game doesn't seem like the right place to do that.

I agree but I feel like for those in favour Flight Simulator was more of a meta pick in this category. I don't think it's going to end up with many other nods (without knowing what the other categories are going to be, of course). Not to undersell Flight Sim (a Good Game, certainly) but for this group it feels like a "put it on to take it off" kind of game for the Final GOTY cast and then??? It's worth discussing but where else are you going to talk about it?

Hearing Alex at the end still saying that there were many more Yakuza's to come gives me pause. I really loved watching 0 and I think seeing Kiwami would be cool just to see the beginnings of the series, but maybe that should be it? Doing the whole series seemed pretty ambitious from the jump, and with at least one member of the crew feeling lukewarm after just 1 entry scaling back the scope of the feature might make sense.

I'd always been bewildered by Dota content in the past, but a few hours with Heroes of The Storm primed my brain to have some basic level of moba understanding and it's made a huge difference. This stream was pretty interesting! Dunno if it will be nearly as watchable when Brad inevitably ends up getting flamed by shitty teammates, but for now I'm happy this exists. More good good Brad content is always appreciated.

This was very good, and I liked it very much. There are some much, much harder shines than That One, and I can't wait to see y'all bang your heads against them.

Biancas list of favourite albums was more or less the complete contents of my brain in high school. My friends used to give me a lot of shit for loving Pain of Salvation, but damnit if beyond the pale doesn't bang to this day.

Fun feature, really glad I finally got to see what all the fuss was about with this game. Turns out it looks pretty great! I'm also glad we're (maybe, probably?) done with Castlevania. Two-ish years is a long time for a feature to run, and going through the series most iconic entry seems a fitting place to leave it and get on to the business of Something Different, whatever that may be.

On the topic of Jeffs SMB3 revelation... I'm 100% there myself. Do to various circumstances I actually skipped it entirely, and only ended up playing it a few years after the SNES was already out. Having had an SNES and thus having played an obscene amount of World it just seemed like such a step back. There's never been any room for SMB3 in my heart, and there probably never will be.

As a person who just the other day spent a couple of months saved dust to finally craft Dr. Boom, I'm a little bummed. As a person who doesn't purchase the single player expansions, I'm a little heartened. I'm calling this one a wash until we see how things shake out.

I think this news might have gone down a little smoother with the larger player base if they had announced it alongside some information about the next expansion. It would have been a nice distraction from the anxiety this type of change can cause.

I'm super glad to see this back. A year of casually listening to the powerbombcast was the gateway drug that got me back into wrestling after a 10 year absence. The first show I actually pulled the trigger on and watched was wrestlemania 31, and of course the moment I did so the podcast disappeared. It's been a total bummer, as my interest and appetite has only grown since. If the show goes even bi-monthly as Jeff suggested I'll consider it a huge victory.

It was also really great having Drew on the show. I figured he'd be able to see something in it despite the natural human inclination to be wary (or even disdainful) of wrestling.
