All the nice and terrifying places I've visited

These would be my favorite locations in gaming. Be it just a town, an entire universe, or just a really cool set piece, these places are just kind of magical.

List items

  • I have this thing about underwater stuff. If it's been stuck under the ocean for any length of time it becomes way more interesting to me, especially if it happens to be a crazy failed utopia built on the Atlantic ocean floor during the '40's.

  • Riding around Vice City you can just about taste that special flavor of cheesiness that was the 80's.

  • I heart Japan quite a bit so walking among the lights and sights of Kamurocho will probably be as close as I'll get to seeing it for realz.

  • Far Cry 2's version of Africa to be specific. I don't think I'd want to visit though, as it seems that everyone wants to murder me.

  • Whimsical, peaceful and beautiful. Just don't head out and about at night.

  • If I had to live in a video game village, Kakariko would be it. Peaceful and filled with kind and very odd folks.

  • Renaissance-era Venice in Assassin's Creed 2 is just breathtakingly beautiful, just slightly edging out AssCreedBro's version of Rome.

  • A more complete gaming world has yet to be crafted. At least until GTA5 comes out.

  • A nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

  • Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace.

  • I find it hard to articulate what it is about Shadow Moses that I find so awesome, but I do know that going back there in MGS4 was kind of unnerving.

  • The coolest hive of scum and villainy in the whole of the Milky Way. The lights and music make my sci-fi boner stand at total attention.
