@myslead: I don't know that there's a tactic for it; maybe there is and I just haven't earned it yet?

Backstab: While all classes receive a bonus to attack and cricital hit chance attacking from behind, backstabs are a specific, rogue-only type of attack that occurs whenever the rogue is positioned behind a foe, and the foe does not have immunity, such as from the shield talent tree.
I've done it a couple of times by using the stealth talent to get in behind first.
I'm pretty impressed with how well it plays on the xbox360, considering its complexity and obvious PC pedigree. The combat is hugely satisfying, and I'm already appreciating how well balanced melee vs ranged vs magic attacks are. I'm playing an elven rogue with dualwielding axe/dagger and crossbow at the moment, and even developing combat strategies for this one character is very entertaining. Go for the backstab!
Also? Grenades are awesomesauce.
