This is the kind of stuff that has made great AC game worlds in some of the past titles ( i.e. the mixing of strong historical locales, characters, and events with a liberal application of fiction and conspiracy...as many have found (cough Dan Brown...cough) this is a good basic formula for making an interesting book/film/game.
All they have to do is not f**k up the game play and we can hope for an at least half-decent game (assuming it also works)
The trailer raises my eyebrow slightly further and I'm definitely anticipating the reviews a little more than I had been a month ago.
@humanity: I'll take your advice on I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream and will seek the short story over the game. Or perhaps I'll see if there's a youtube playthrough I can watch while commuting or something?
I really wanted to like Stasis but the first few hours of it failed to snag me. I think that maybe I'll come back to it one day and give it another chance but it probably won't be this year as there won't be time with everything else coming out.
I went into this game really wanting to appreciate the story and the atmosphere and after three hours or so of play, both have fallen a bit short of the expectations I went in with.
That's partly on me of course but I'd also say that outside of the wonderful aesthetic that this game has, the game play and game design feel a bit clunky and dated to me (so far).
