I agree with some of the posts above. I loved Neuromancer, particularly for its worldbuilding and detailed writing, but I don't think there's anything particularly 2020 about it. The way hacking and interacting with computers is described is much less akin to the ever-present and mundane reality, which is completely understandable for a time when using a computer was a whole ordeal and not something you did to pass the time in a queue. I should mention Shadowrun does an excellent job at describing that with its Matrix and Matrix 2.0, though I'm not familiar enough with the novels to say if they're any good.

The plot itself is very reminiscent of a tabletop plotline, though.

Anodyne 2: Return to Dust but with twin-stick shooter controls in the 2D parts.

Truly interesting times. Though it's an unfinished prototype rather than anything workers used as a training tool it shows the custom work into producing refinery things (like C4) and the fact there are still disasters in the build.
