Games That I Love But I Can't Recommend

This list is all the games that I love but I couldn't recommend because of the following:

• Too slow and methodical
• Too embarrassing to admit (you know guilty pleasures)
• Too "gay" (according to some of my dumbass friends)
• Too weird (AKA Japanese games)
• Too damn difficult
• Incomprehensible
• and many more reasons!

  1. P.T.O.: Pacific Theater of Operations

  I thought PTO for the SNES was impressive. There were a ton of options as to how you command different naval fleets on both sides. Still, the learning curve is steep enough that I couldn't recommend it... unless you love a more open world Battleship game.

  2. Shenmue II

  I didn't get to play the first Shenmue, but when Shenmue II was released on the original Xbox, with the first Shenmue DVD video, I finally understood why this game is beloved... and loathe at the same time.

  3. Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball

  Boobs, boobs, boobs. Need I explain more?

  4. GunValkyrie

  GunValkyrie is both excellent and ridiculously difficult. Even though I never beat the game, I still had a good time. However, because of its anger-inducing difficulty, I can't recommend this game.

  5. Final Fantasy XII

  Personally, I think Final Fantasy XII is fantastic but, it's the most polarizing game in the franchise.
