Ok, i got a question about 1:20:09. Abby runs out of bullets with the TMP and so she equips the Striker which also has no bullets. And yet, the gun is magically loaded when she leaves the briefcase screen? Did I miss something?
Let me just preface this by saying, I love Giant Bomb. I love the crew, and I love the way they do things, generally.
However, I have a problem with the last two videos of this playdate series, and this is something that also affected the Goldeneye series.
I tuned in to this playdate because I want to watch Abby play Resident Evil 4 for the first time, and follow along with her experience with people who have played the game (Dan, Alex, Jeff). But in the latest two videos, there is not really a focus on the game. Especially in this video. I've watched half of the video, and everyone involved is immediately -- and throughout -- talking about something else. Horror movies, time travel, Netflix, nothing is connected to the game being played -- the footage taking up half the screen -- even Abby is half-distracted by another topic during one of the most intense moments of the game.
In the Goldeneye series I could somewhat excuse this, because we were just watching Dan bang his head against the same sections over and over, so it was hard to keep things interesting. But this is an interesting game, and I would like to keep the focus on it, especially since this is premium series. Quite frankly, I'd rather hear regular banter more on the podcast.
Allow me to reiterate that I love GB. And I'm not saying that they have to button up their shirts and focus on the game 100%. But I feel like the balance has swung totally the other way, leaving me uninterested to watch this series. I like you guys talking about what you care about, but I also like a focused feature -- especially when it's premium content.
Just my opinion. Any one else in the fandom agree with me? I could be crazy. And sorry if this comes off as rude, I hope it doesn't seem that way!
