I feel the same way. All of these separate Youtube channels, the switch to dumb thumbnails, and this whole "we need to market to the teens" look that are clearly the result of some upper management really kind of rub me the wrong way. I don't think Giant Bomb has changed but you can definitely tell that the monetization of their output sure has.
I don't think GB's core ethos will ever change but if we can leverage our synergies to better market our core competencies to reach today's tweenagers in ways that maximize our brand leverage, then we'll continue to explore those avenues of expansion in Q1 to emphasize our fiscal performances.
But seriously, we've done plenty of giveaways in the past on UPF and elsewhere. This might be a bit more official than what we've done in the past but I apologize if it feels off to you! Blame me!
