When I read the BioShock 2 review I got the feel from it that it should have got 3 stars instead of 4. Then I noticed the add for BioShock 2 on the site and all sorts of conspiracy theories came to mind. I started thinking should GiantBomb even review games that are being advertised on the site. I know that it is common practice and brings money to the site but it just feels too much like a conflict of intress.  What do you guys think?

p.s. English is not my native language so feel free to correct my spelling. Preferably without being a dick about it

Edit.
Everybody else seems to think the reviews is fine so Iread and watched it again and noticed that I might have focused too much on the negative. BioShock 2 deserves its 4 stars.

I feel the same way sometimes. I could be enjoying some great game and then look at my shelf with all the unfinished games in it and then feel like I have some how failed them. When did it come to this worrying about not playing all the games we want to play instead of enjoying the games that we are playing?

@Chyro:  Yeah ME codex is great. Read everything in it but it's just not the same. On the plus side half of it is like a book on tape :D

It ran just fine on my machine. If I remember correctly only thing I turned off was the motion blur cos I think its a bit annoying. Mostly well done port except for some mouse issues but they did not bother me too much cos otherwise the game was (and still is) a masterpiece.

I was throwing out some useless memorabilia/junk and stumbled across a box of old game manuals obviously I had to start reading them instead of continuing the cleaning. Back in the day they really put some effort into these things hundred or more pages of lore, unit descriptions and other useless but cool stuff.  Now days it’s just a small booklet with installation instructions and a few words about the HUD or something like that.

Am I the only one who misses useless information in book form? I would go as far as paying extra to get a proper thick manual full of lore with my games. How about you?

@thecleric:  Crysis came out late 2007 and at the time there was no hardware that could run it smoothly on highest graphics settings.

I think that PC gaming might be slowly dying. One of the main reasons is piracy it's just too easy to click on a .torrent these days. One of the reason might also be that, most new games are multi-platform releases and console versions pretty much overshadow PC versions in sales figures. Thus PC games probably get less funding and come out as shitty console ports and who wants to play those. And then there are the costs, a decent gaming PC cost's about 1500$ that might up to the task for about 2 or 3 years and then another 1500$ to buy a new one. Unlike the 300$ console which usually last 5 years or more. But i'm still a PC gamer and probably will be for a long time.
