I currently have a work mate in the US and he has kindly offered to bring me back some loot. He's in Colorado atm and found me a cheap Sega Saturn.
My question is a) Is it possible to easily install these region unlocking carts? And b) do they actually work well. I'd obviously want to be able to play my PAL region games on an NTSC machine. C) is this a waste of time pipe dream?
This will be my first PAX and just wanted to get the lowdown on what to expect. Are there like retro/ new games for purchase there? What kind of stuff has been on offer in previous years?
If there were, how are the lines . I have a 3 day pass, should i buy on a particular day?
Why the Dan hate? Dan is by FAR the best part of the site. He's a fucking anomaly. A beautiful, horrible anomaly. All the one liners we get...The Mario Party and Metal Gear series for Christ sake!
I have recently bought a house and are deep in the depths of renovations. I need to set up a room for all my gaming stuff. I have included a plan should anyone want to know how much floor space I have to play with (two rooms shown, either can be used but only one can be selected in the end). I have a 65" tv I need to fit in there and a CRT for all the older consoles. I need to set up for a largish collection, which ideally Id like to show off and not hide behind cupboards. Currently no furniture or anything bought. The rest of the house is quite modern....well it will be when done.
Has anyone set up a room with similar space? Did you mount the Tv above the PC? Where did you start?
Just won some tix for my wife and myself to go to PAX. We have never been and the schedule isn't out yet (obviously to early in the piece). What can we expect besides pannels and musics? Is this something where we can buy games/comics etc, or just more of a showcase?
Any help would be cool peeps, especially if you have been to any of the Australian PAX before.
