Uh, Dan made part 2 sound waaaaaaaay more intimidating and complicated than it actually is.
In order to finish, you gotta play yellow missions, listen to yellow tapes, and the occasional random side op. That's it. Just cut out the parts where you listen to tapes and play random side ops and it's fine.
At this point it almost seems like they don't even want to play past Part 2, which is a shame because the reason he's getting so frustrated is because he's just....bad at the game and doesn't utilize resources.
Dan just saying "It is an open world video game, you can do what you want" doesn't help at all either.
