The Not So Perfect Hit

As I'm writing this blog here, I'm also playing Hitman: Blood Money for the 360. Waiting for this guy to come into his changing room so that I can replace his prop pistol with a real one, thus allowing him to perform the assassination himself. All of you Hitman fans should know the mission "Curtains Down". Keep in mind that I'm playing on Professional difficulty, so it hasn't been so easy thus far. I don't know if I'll manage to finish the whole game on this difficulty. I'm certainly not getting the ratings I want, so it's a bit upsetting.

I managed to finish King Kong within pretty much a day. Not a very enjoyable experience at all. Then again, getting 1000/1000 achievements is always nice.

As far as Soul Calibur IV goes, I've spent a good amount of time with it. Awesome game. Can't say I agree with the Giant Bomb review.

Other than that, I might try to get some more GiantBomb Points, but it seems to have lost its addictive effect after a while.

It's Tough to Keep Going With H3.

So lately I've been playing a lot of Halo 3. Back when the game launched, there was a giant community of Halo 3 players. I remember the total players online would be over the million mark. Now, the community dropped to about 200, 000 players online. Sometimes its a little more, sometimes less. Many people have had the time to achieve some pretty high ranks such as Commander, Colonel, Brigadier, or in the few occasions that I see them in, Generals.

I used to play the Lone Wolves game type just to increase my level, but eventually I just got tired of it because I always love formulating new strategies, and using tactics to take out the opposing team with my team. I also got tired of it because I kept running into matches of King of the Hill and Oddball. King of the Hill is my least favorite, while I only like playing Oddball with a good team supporting me. I also hate being timed, and Lone Wolves is essentially a race to who can get the most kills, and if you get below third place, you lose. I enjoy keeping a good K/D ratio, while supporting my team as much as I can.

What do I do if I don't want to level up using Lone Wolves? I move on to Team Slayer of course. At the same time, Team Slayer is also flawed in many ways. For some reason, when I join a match, often someone will quit. It's usually on my team because I apparently have the worst of luck. If the team starts losing, people end up quitting. I on the other hand, do not quit, for I am a good sport. What happens when I get killed by the enemy team? I get tea-bagged! I don't understand this logic. Someone keeps the game going, and you go and put him down? What happened to the community?

Another thing is how the levels are so random. I could be at level 33, constantly winning games, and yet my level will not go up. Then all of the sudden when I lose a game, my level decides to drop. Why am I losing? Because I get placed with a team that won't cooperate, or just won't take the game seriously at all. I went from 33 to 29 in one day because I kept getting placed into bad teams. Matchmaking is usually random, unless there is a party of some people that join up together. Why is it that I'm the one always on the team of Captains and Majors while the other team is full of Colonels and Brigadiers? It doesn't make much sense, and also irritates me.

I'm already bored of COD4 because of deaths that I honestly can't explain. I might spawn, and have some guy with a P90 right behind me. It's ridiculous. I like my skill based shooters just like the other guy, but I don't think Halo 3 can keep me entertained for much longer if this keeps going on. Oh man Gears of War 2 can't come soon enough!

The Really Real Beginning.

This is GunnerVIII from Gamespot, and I've decided to create a new username on GiantBomb, for various reasons.

I'd like this to be my introduction blog, as I hope to meet many new and cool people here on GiantBomb.

If I add you, or you add me, I really hope you'll be willing to introduce yourself, here or on my wall.

I look forward to seeing more of GiantBomb!
