Reminder: wrestling is very good.

That is the coolest looking person I think I've ever seen this week.

*sigh*

How naive and hopeful we all were for this back then...

Hey, Jeff, if you plan to make more of these satire clips, put them in their on video category, so I can safely ignore them, please. Thanx

These are hot strats, not satire. I think you have something mixed up.

Hot strats basically belong in the news feed as far as I'm concerned.

Even though Dark Souls II was a low-point of the Souls series to me, I still pumped at least a hundred hours into that game because it's a Souls game, and I love those games.

The worst of the Souls games is still far more interesting to me than the best shooter. I can lose myself in DSII over and over again, experimenting with new builds and weapons. I once decided I'd do an entire run with just dual-wielded caestus and it was fucking -awesome-.

I really like Bloodborne, and just by how the bosses are less... annoying than some of the bosses in DS1, I tend to put it about on par with DS1. It's not as varied in environments, but there's far fewer moments in Bloodborne that feel annoying to me as there were in DS1.

Unfortunately, I didn't finish DeS. I wish I did, but I got to the second time there was a dragon constantly breathing fire at you and got frustrated. It was also really easy. I remember hearing about how hard DeS was and being surprised at how not-at-all hard it was when I played it. I'm not trying to say I'm super awesome at video games or anything, just that the expectation was driven so high up that I was ready for it I guess.

Overall, even with the weak points that each Souls game has (DeS is too easy, DS bosses can be annoying [fuck you Four Kings], DSII has too little boss variety and poor level design, Bloodborne is short on environmental variety), they're still all great and I love them all.

Also, Dan, I'm sorry you didn't read enough books as a kid, but 'eldritch' is a word that perfectly describes the horror of Bloodborne. If you're readers don't know what that word means, then you just taught them a word. Don't dumb it down for your audience. I know WWE has taught you to try and dumb it down for the cheap seats, but maybe just don't, okay?

Listening to the podcast, the part that irks me most is the discussion of Best Moment.

Personally, I think any discussion of a Best Moment in a game shouldn't involve anything without at least some player agency in that moment. The inclusion of a few game endings and cutscenes in the discussions was kind of irksome to me.

Hulk Hogan said the N-word on a stolen videotape and he's wiped from the WWE's existence.

Stone Cold BEAT HIS WIFE SEVERAL TIMES and he stars in the video game.

Okay then.

Roll it back a little bit to something even more immediately relevant.

Hulk Hogan said the N-word on a stolen sextape and he's gone. (To be clear, he said a little bit more than the N-word, but sure, to reduce the whole thing down, yeah, sure.)

Ultimate Warrior said things on stage during speeches at universities that could probably get me banned from this site and he's bronzed in history with an honorary award that was recently given to a child who died of cancer.
