sorry to burst anyone's bubble who may have wanted to play shadows over loathing but the designer of the Loathing series of games Zack Johnson has been accused of emotional and sexual abuse.
it's something that's seemingly been forgotten because so many stories have come out about abuse in the games industry but i think it should be known
this happens a lot when we're focused on jan's screen but why is the game audio delayed by like a full second? it's so distracting i find it hard to watch.
i'm a one piece fan and this just looks like the kinda game that for a heavy discount , if i just wanted to kill time while listening to music/podcasts it might be alright.
also it is a mistake to try to get into one piece through the anime IMHO. you can always read a manga faster than you can watch an anime adaptation of that same story. the anime reallllly stretches out some chapters and has filler arcs as well so it has pacing issues out the wazoo. if anyone wants to get into i say manga or bust tbh.
okay one extra thing: i get that one piece's artstyle can be offputting and that is totally fair but i will say i have yet to see a 3d rendering of Luffy that isn't freaky looking. he just does not translate to 3D.
@allthedinos: i don't think it's entirely on the switch , though it partially is. i genuinely think the pokemon company and nintendo need to stop riding GameFreaks ass to get a new Pokemon game out every year like clockwork. the switch generation has seen GameFreak step further into 3D gameplay after ditching sprites back in gen 5 , but also trying to open up the gameplay and worlds of these games. and while the ideas are cool , i don't think they're given enough dev time to actually put out a great game because before the new game is out the door they're already working on the next one.
but seemingly as long the bad performance of these games doesn't impact sales things are just gonna continue this way.
