While you should stop reading comments about Agents and go play Saints Row the Third, Agents of Mayhem is a fun distraction. A budget AAA, it tries hard, but it needed more resources and a bit more skill in the writing. It tries so hard, a universe has been built and if it had great writers, it could be a great animated show to follow Archer.
I actually am enjoying this game a lot on PC. The triple jump is a blast, especially if you have a Hero with an air dash. I like just running/jumping from point A to B and collecting loot boxes. I think banter between characters is great, guys in HQ radioing in to ask a member of your current team about inter-office romances. They lean a little too heavy on the cursing and dirty jokes, but using humor to teach the right pronunciation of Uranus is a good thing. It's like Archer teaching proper use of Who/Whom.
I think I am putting too much effort into tweaking skills, gadgets and legion tech to get the perfect team build. Dan was a bit dismissive of it.
I think this game would hit harder with a below-30 crowd, but some of the Saturday morning cartoons this references may be before their time.
Wow, I am already out to 2020. That is dystopian future territory. I'll get one more year for the premium podcast covering the descent into end of the world that comes January 01, 2021.
After watching the quick look, I loaded up the first Garden Warfare (I picked it up on holiday sale). Now I keep playing it over Fallout 4. I am debating on unlocking all those characters before getting Garden Warfare 2 (or I will just wait for a sale).
