Well, I got credits, so maybe that's another issue Brad just managed to encounter that I didn't. I think a lot of the complaints here are valid though, obviously, especially given the bugs he ran into. At the same time, I don't think I ran into a quarter of the junk Brad did, so I do wonder what caused all of it.
For me, despite the technical issues, the gameplay, setting, and characters outweighed any frustrations I had with bugs or design choices. It still sucks that they didn't delay the game to iron these issues out. Polish is all ReCore really needed. That's inexcusable, of course, but also sad when you consider the fact that they nail the platforming/shooting combo. If they'd managed to tighten up the last third or so of the game it would have been incredible. Nevertheless, a fun and somewhat pleasantly surprising experience overall I thought.
As a Fable fan I'm really sad about this. Hopefully the franchise isn't dead, but, more importantly, I wish the employees the very best. It's never easy losing a job or finding out that a project you worked on so hard has been cancelled. My heart goes out to them.
Apparently you, me, my brother, and three of my friends make up 66% of the potential online community for this game. It's good to have these statistically accurate numbers, that way we can understand everyone's dismissiveness.
