The PS4's power brick is internal and it has the exact same plug for power as all PlayStations.

Is this confirmed somewhere?

@rorie: Are there any other issues associated with this. Like Chrome sometime hanging for 2-5 seconds when loading GiantBomb or thumbnails for videos not always loading properly?

@zfubarz: You're talking about sharing games within the same household but this clause from the Xbone document baffles me:

Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere: Xbox One will enable new forms of access for families. Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One. Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friend’s house. Only now, they will see not just Forza, but all of your shared games. You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time.

Implying that ten people could conceivably share a game library without being in the same house.

I don't see it being an exclusive forever. The buzz around the game and the pedigree of Respawn(as ex-IW guys) would suggest that it's going to do very well if the Xbone does well. However I doubt that Microsoft has dropped enough dough for them to sign away the potential revenue on the other platform.

The MS cloud is not some mysterious gaming entity that makes all games better. It's simply a way to allow developers easy access to computing and storage capabilities of the existing Microsoft server infrastructure. That is something that can be replicated on other platforms and, unless it will be tied to Games for Windows Live, won't they have to set up their own "cloud" for the PC version.

@scrawnto: Yeah, that's pretty much what I've been thinking too. I don't think they can manage this without the developer specifically making a build that supports this so I figure it's going to depend on the game. I don't remember Sony commenting on whether it's mandatory or optional.

Is the slow download speed not largely the result of local decryption? In that case I expect it to be vastly improved with new hardware with a dedicated download chip.

The most important question is: will full retail games still cost €15~20 more digitally at launch?

I seem to remember someone talking about the local decryption but also a poor management of the PSN infrastructure. I download a lot of stuff from PSN and in my experience it has gotten better if not yet good.

Didn't Cerny acknowledge this specific problem at the launch event saying that they are aware of it and have plans to drastically improve the PSN experience?

I wonder how much work it takes on the developer's part to get that working, and what happens if your internet goes down, after you start playing, but before the download finishes. Do you eventually hit a dead end? A screen that says, "To be continued, upon completion of download"?

I doubt that the rest of the game will magically appear when you're disconnected. I'm think there will probably be a set area/chapters/levels that you'll be able to play while the rest of the game is downloading. I just hope they will build in some kind of fail safe tp prevent problems if said situation arises.

This whole issue seems to be too confusing. Even Microsoft execs and PR don't seem to fully understand how it works. Most people seem to be talking like this is not locked to a single IP address but I'm not so sure. Why would the wording make it evolve around the term family if they weren't thinking within the same household. It just doesn't make sense.

I don't think it's impossible that they mean for two people to be able to play the same game at the same time but I find it unlikely unless there are some other hidden restrictions (like someone else pointed out). This is in fact possible with the PS3 right now but the fact that 10 people could be playing the same copy at different times is not a very smart business decision. If this is, in fact, true I highly doubt it will stay that way as it will be massively exploited from day 1.

@spacerunaway: Two more points I forgot. Microsoft exists in an official capacity in Iceland, customer service and all. Also, publishing rights for TV content and movies are notoriously expensive per customer. It all adds up.

Well, I'm from Iceland. We don't get the xbone even though we have somewhere around 95% high speed broadband adoption. I don't have official numbers but it seems that consoles exist in about half the households here. English is our second language and no games are localized. There seems to be no reason to exclude Iceland. I think it comes down to content deals. Microsoft seems to be launching in countries that they might have secured some TV deals for content on their TV box.

#realtalk I've reached the point in my life where I have to take a step back and really think about whether or not I should continue eating. I'm just sick of the flame wars. You know, bone-in or boneless, Pepsi or Coke In N' Out or White Castle. It's getting too much and I don't know if I can stomach it anymore. Some might say I should just ignore the trolls and move on but I don't know man.
