I was thinking, what if everyone got together in their respective areas : Chicago/San Fransisco/Toronto/etc/etc and at one specific time like say 12:00 pm pacific time (so that people on the east coast can still do it during day light) we all got a glass of beer, a shot, or a bloody diet coke even, and raised it all at once for Ryan?

This may sound a bit crazy but it could be done and I think it'd be a nice parting gesture.

What say you?

I bawled. And I went through the same thought process as you. Someone on the forums "I feel like I've lost the best friend I never knew" and that right about sums it up. It's ok to be teary.

If anyone is up for a meet up in vancouver and maybe snag a few drinks and toast to the one and only Ryan Davis, well, let's make it happen!

We are all a bit emotional right now, so getting Ryan's tattoo may seem like a good idea, but I'd say wait another month or two to decide whether or not to get the tattoo done. But if you do get it, good on you! That'd be pretty sweet

You hear about celebrity deaths every so often. Or the passing on of people who were well known over the internet or tv or whatever. It's always shocking and sad, but never have any of those deaths brought a tear to my eye.

I got home 2 hours ago and went straight to Giantbomb just like every night, to find some funny videos or cometary to bring my mood up. Seeing that headline was so incomprehensibly shocking. I didn't know what to say, then it dawned on me that he's gone. I've been crying for the past two hours. I never met the guy, but I feel like he was a real friend.

I really hope the rest of the duders will pull through and most of all his wife Anna. She must be broken. I wish I could give her a hug or something.

I don't know what to say. I started listening to the podcast a few years ago. It always made me laugh even when I was having (and still have) a hard time with life. I never knew him, I never wrote in with questions, only from his voice and video presence, but I felt like I knew him. Tuesday is my favorite day of the week because of the bombcast and Ryan is to this day my favorite internet/podcast/video personality. This is too much to bear. This is truly a profound loss in the world of gaming.
