I mean, I really like Grubb, Jerf, Jan, Dan, Rorie, Lucy and Tamoor and I think they can make create great content and they their chemistry mostly works great. But too much is too much. If you are remodeling /fixin your home, at which point you have changed so much that it is not anymore the same place that you can call home?

GB has never been about the brand for me. It has always been closely tied to personalities it platforms and community around it. That's why its so hard everytime this happens, may the reasons be sensible or not. First the resigning of Alex, Vinny and Brad and then the way Gerstman was fired happened fast. Even when my own time with GB content shrinked with every change, I was happy that the Nu-GB got that new energy and people it was needing so bad. The vibes were good again and the giantbombathon was a great show off of that.

To lay off such talented and essential people for this new vision of GB as Jess and Jason (and everyone else in background)...it really knocked the wind out of me. I hope everything good to remaining crew with this new harsh landscape that is hard to navigate.

I just can't invest myself again to this site anymore and I'm dropping everything regarding the content and move on. My right foot was already firmy in Nextlander stuff that is my main gaming pod but my left big toe was keeping the GB door just slightly open. Now It is time for me to shut that door gently and let this chapter end.

The thing is there are not many "aaa" open-world games that you can play co-op and thats where DL / DL 2 excels. Also the traversal with the parkoursystem is fun and combat is above average. It has many bugs yes but to put things in context it's not like cyberpunk launch. The plot and characters are kind of ridiculous but but atleast there are some funny sidestory stuff that is not that self-serious as the main plot (thought there is some comedic value of that self-seriousnes).

In other words, I don't think it's just another Ubisoftesque openworld thingy.

With that price there should be either more games in sub (why not dump GB, GBC, GBA games too) or some kind of system like ps+ with monthly "free" games tied to sub that you can add to your library. The fact that you don't even get to keep the AC DLC is just plain shitty and outrageously stupid. That fact that my unhacked Series X can play way more old Nintendo games with retroarc than my unhacked switch is just ridiculous.

For me the most depressing thing about all the crypto and NFT stuff is that it can been seen as a recflection point of Internet and what it has become in 20-30 years. Maybe the idealistic possibilities of the early Internet were always a fools hope, but there certainly was this atmosphere of hope that this new technology can actually be the beginning for better and fairer world. Its socialistic and democratic posibilities showed how information can be shared without limits and it gave some of us implications that maybe some larger societal change was underway. Slowly but steadily we started to see how Internet instead evolved towards this capitalistic nightmare, were its idealistic purposes served nothing more than cheap rhetorics for sale pitches for the next big thing/app/service. So yeah for me (and I believe for many of us) NFTs and cryptos are just one more thing to remind us the disappointment for Internet and its possibilities.

I really hope this thing does well and delivers. Like many people here have pointed, the ultimate test will be Valves motivation to support this system longterm. Steamdeck seems to be lightyears ahead of Switch with the hardware, but Switch is still the machine to play Nintendo IP sfuff. Another important aspect is, Switch games are not always performing great but if you buy stuff for Switch you know that you can play the game without needing to modify .ini files, battle with OS compability, driver support, ect all the fun pc stuff. The thing I'm trying to say is that especially with portable device the UX has to be fast and reliable. Switch might not have any media apps or even bluetooth headset support, but what is does have is quite sleek UX that works and is easy to enjoy for short bursts of time. I hope Valve will deliver with the UX stuff.

For me the TMP settings was just not enabled in bios. I have MSI x570 tomahawk wifi with Ryzen 5600x and the setting in question is in Setting/Security/Trusted Computing and from there I had to enable Security Device Support. Now the test says the computer is ready. Bigger worry for me is the fact that I gonna be a their beta tester for this product. Too bad the directstorage is not comming to win10 :/

First two episodes have been a blast and really fun to listen! Their dynamic works well and 3 hours just flies by. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way (in second episode) was quite constant plugging of the anchor listener support especially in a context where they try to communicate to audience that this is a labor of love (and they all have day jobs that are well paying). I mean it is totally okey to mention it but doing it multiple times in one podcast is just little tacky.

GBeast was the thing keeping me here. GB may find great hires and a new format, but for me the site has always been so itegrated to existance of the "corecrew" that without it, its just a whole different thing. With the remaining premium I will download all the stuff I always wanted see and move to other gaming podcasts/content likely. Right now that looks like: waypoint, firescape and minnmax. I will keep an eye what will happen to this site but at same time I'm greatly more interested what Brad, Vinny and Alex are gonna do next.
