Something they missed about Vinnie's hit is that the conversation he interrupted was Sean Bean asking Vinny how he would try to kill him if he was an assassin. So Vinnie's answer was to get up, drop an explosive duck, walk out, and trigger the duck without even looking back. The best answer.
At some point in Alex's life he angered a witch who then placed a horrific curse on him that would make him uniquely terrible at frogger and frogger-like minigames for the rest of his life. I don't know why she chose that particular curse, but as you can see it was very effective.
It's real good you did that admiral mission right away Alex. When you started looking for him over Banes I had flashbacks to all kinds of people getting real stuck trying to find him and asking about it on forums. And it's a dead end too. Lot of people got pretty frustrated and mad about it as I recall. Was worried for a bit you were going down that road. :P
It's pretty cool how some of you guys are able to read people's intentions over the internet. I usually just have to take people at their word when they say they wanted to like a game they ended up not liking.
Overwatch isn't magic. If you have three shots at 45% chance, you take them.
Yeah, I don't know what they think it's going to solve. If you put someone who has a 45% shot into Overwatch instead, and Overwatch does miraculously trigger during the enemy turn, that Overwatch is going to have a LESS than 45% chance of hitting.
OW fire on a unit that is running out, meaning no cover, at a 0.7 aim multiplier. At 65 aim of a rookie that's 0.7 x 65 = 45.5. A rookie firing at a standard enemy behind low cover is 65 - 20 = 45. A rookie firing at a standard enemy behind high cover is 65 - 40 = 25.
OW can't crit, but makes it more likely for enemy to not move from their location.
Overwatch instead of shooting makes it 100% less likely the alien dies before it gets a turn though.
Someone please tell Vinny to stop advising people go into overwatch instead of taking the shot. It is bad advice Vinny, stop giving it. The only time it was worth doing was when dirt bike was suppressed because suppression lowers accuracy by a lot.
~ 1hour 38min: Watch Brad. Watch Brad. There's like an enemy at him. Like right now. Hey what's happening with Brad? Forget chat and move your camera Ben. I bet there's more interesting things happening than this random bit of terrain at the bottom of the map. BRAD IS DYING MAYBE WATCH BRAD BEN GODDAMNIT.
I was interested right up until the action combat stuff. Everything else looked pretty good but I just don't like it when menu-driven RPGs have active elements. Just give me the turn-based combat this would have been back in the old days.
