My Favorite TNG Episodes

Since the whole reason I started sprucing up my profile is because Brad checked it out after I made a TNG reference on his wall, I feel it's only fitting to decree upon you all the definitive best episode list for TNG. Rest assured there won't be any involving Lwaxana Troi...

#1 Hotel Royale

I have no idea why, everyone I've ever talked to hates this episode but for some reason I love it. I obviously don't think it's the best drama or anything I just think it's funny.

#2 Darmok

The Inner Light is such an awesome episode, but I liked this one a bit more. The concept of the metaphor language was so awesome and the bravery and explorer's spirit of the Tamarian captain is inspiring.

#3 The Inner Light

The flute alone is enough to make this episode memorable, but the story is incredible. We all know that what we experience is merely electrical impulses interpreted by our brains, but the thought you can live an entire lifetime in a few minutes... wow. And the memorial these people sent out into space couldn't have found a better ambassador.

#4 Brothers

I love this episode simply because Data taking over the ship and that long ass password he runs off to the computer. 1 - 7 - 3 - 4 - 6 - 7 - 3 - 2 - 1 - 4 - 7 - 6 - Charlie - 3 - 2 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 7 - 7 - 7 - 6 - 4 - 3 - Tango - 7 - 3 - 2 - Victor - 7 - 3 - 1 - 1 - 7 - 8 - 8 - 8 - 7 - 3 - 2 - 4 - 7 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 7 - 6 - 4 - 3 - 7 - 6 - Lock! Also, him finding his father finally and Lore killing him is compelling as well.

#5 The Best of Both Worlds Part 2

Part 1 was good, but part 2 was where it was at, and Shelby was far less annoying as Riker's FO than she was as his competition. Incorrect strategy.... numba one.

#6 The Icarus Factor

Whenever I have a disagreement with friends or family I always solve it with an Ambo-Jitsu match. It is, after all, The ultimate evolution of the Martial Arts. Onegaishimasu!

#7 The Pegasus

The phasing cloak was badass, as was Picard droppin the "I'll make someone else First Officer" bombshell on Riker.

#8 Chain of Command

Captain Jellico: Let's drop ranks for a moment. I don't like you. I believe you're arrogant, insubordinate, willful. I don't think you're a particularly good First Officer.

Commander Riker: Well, now that the ranks are dropped, Captain...I don't like you, either. You ARE arrogant, and closed-minded. You need to control everyone and everything. You don't provide an atmosphere of trust, and you don't inspire these people to go out of their way for you. You've got everyone wound up so tight, there's no joy in anything. I don't think you're a particularly good Captain.

Picard: THERE ARE.....FOUR LIGHTS!

#9 Tapestry

I love how this episode teaches you that even though you may regret the mistakes you make you do also learn from them. Also Picard was totally owning those Nausicaans before one of them snuck up on him.

#10 Masks

Korgano is such a cool name

Man this list is hard, there's so many i'm leavin out. The one with the enterprise's brain on the Holodeck tryin to get to Vertiform city to find Vertiron particles, the one where Picard and his brother beat the crap out of each other and end up singin that kickass french song, the one where Tom Paris... oops I mean the dude who plays Tom Paris gets Wesley and his fellow cadets to enter into a conspiracy, The Game with smokin hot Lefler, etc. There are few episodes in the whole series I don't like. Like that stupid one with Dr Crusher's family ghost or whatever it was, any Lwaxana Troi epsiode, with the possible exception of the one with Charles Emerson Winchester III in it, and that stupid Robin hood one, although Worf's "I must protest, I am not a merry man" and him smashing Geordi's guitar were pretty funny.

Anyway these are in no particular order, just when they popped in my head.

OMG, How could I forget The Neutral Zone "We gonna pick us up a couple of low mileage pit wolfies and help em build a memry!" BHAHAHAHAAHA
