I think it'd be cool if they form two consistent groups for this game. Like Vinny, Brad, Jeff, and Abby and then Dan, Alex, Ben, and Jason. Then they could compete to see which group gets that chicken dinner.
So if I had to describe it, it's like Dan is trying to play it like Dynasty Warriors and mash through when he needs to play it more like Dark Souls and be more deliberate with his play.
@odinsmana: That's true, I really like the shoulder dislocate one and the heat move where he basically launches himself off the ground. It's just kind of rough watching Dan press triangle at things.
With Kiryu, most of the heat moves are only really available when you grab a guy. Grab a guy when you have the heat for it and press triangle. Otherwise press square at people to get heat.
Majima's a different story though since there's not really much grabbing with slugger style or breaker style but his thug style is about the same.
Admittedly, the combat is a little clunky but Dan's having way more trouble with it than he really should be. For me, it helped to count out the number of times I pressed the buttons so I wouldn't lock myself into animations. And like other people mentioned, he needs to stop mashing triangle unless there's actually a heat action available. Most of the heat actions are usually only available when you grab a guy or have a weapon unless there's a specific ability that says otherwise.
I probably spent a good 10-15 hours of my 60 hour playthrough of Yakuza 0 just doing cabaret club stuff and I didn't finish the cabaret club storyline as of yet. It's really fun.
