@trega123: Yeah, it'd make more sense for them to simply re-build the entire game from the ground up using the original as reference.

I broke down and started collecting Saturn hardware and games a few months ago. My local shop has had a copy of Saga for awhile, it used to be 750 but now they've got it priced at 650.

One day...

Words are just agreed upon sets of sounds that convey concepts. All that matters is that people understand what you're communicating.

Indeed, people too often forget that the purpose of language is to impart understanding. If one understands another, consider for a moment if it's appropriate to correct their grammar or vocabulary.

The bad news about Panzer Dragoon Saga is Sega lost the source code for the game, so there can never be a remaster of it. At best, they can emulate the game and release that.

In theory, they don't need it. It certainly makes it a lot more work, and thus lot less likely to happen though.

A remaster would require they recompile the game-- and without the source code, that is impossible. The only option other than emulation would be to extract the assets of the game-- textures, models, animations and reprogram the game while reusing the older assets.

You don't need it if you know what you're doing. Bluepoint didn't even use the source for their MGS remasters, they engineered the code right off the retail discs.

sometimes when turning at a red light the car will pop out of gear and rev the engine and then find the gear. When that happens, the Mustang can drift pretty well.

Thanks for the image that put in my head lmao

I'm playing on Switch and the fps drops have really been blown out of proportion. Yeah it drops a bit here and there but it's like not even mildly bothersome, even in villages like Kakariko.

Different people notice it more than others. I'm very accustomed to playing almost all my games at 60fps so it's very jarring for me. I even remember instances like this irritating me in games like Fallout: New Vegas where certain areas were really cool but I simply didn't want to be in them because they performed so poorly. The Wii U version of BotW has some of the worst frame dips I've seen in a AAA game in a very long time.

Yea, I do prefer high fps but with practice one can get used to low fps. When OoT came out it was locked to 20fps and it remains an extremely playable and enjoyable game. BotW blows OoT away in just about every respect including FPS so I have no reason to complain about anything.

This game looks so good, to have towns hampered and far less of a fun place to be due to the framerate is a real bummer.

I went to Best Buy when they opened and easily got a Switch & Zelda along with the seven or so other people there.

It's really crazy to see Jeff give Horizon 5 stars, a game which is basically Sony's version of a really good Assassin's Creed game, and then look like he's bouncing off BotW, which is basically Nintendo taking all the defining (and greatest) parts of Zelda 1 and OoT, SotC, Souls, Morrowind, and Dragon's Dogma, and lathering it all in a generous coating of Nintendo class. I don't regret my purchase. The last time a game grabbed hold of me like this was Dark Souls in 2011 and to a lesser extent Dragon's Dogma in 2012, and this goes way beyond those for me because it's an amalgamation of those and so many more of my favorites.
