So who here has used the Hint Toad to locate some pesky moons? I went back to a previous kingdom to mop up some moons and told myself I would just talk to him once and 6 moons later I have used him 6 times. In a way I feel kind of like I cheated myself the exploration/reward of discovering a couple of those moons, but on the other hand there were a couple that I really think I may never have found otherwise. The latter were ones in places I already had thought I'd scoped out completely. Thoughts? Am I a bad person?

Thanks a lot guys and girls. So much helpful info/opinions in this thread. Really helped me out. I wish I hadn't of already bought Thumper, Sonic Mania, Shovel Knight and Overcooked on my Xbone because I feel like those would all be greatly complimented by portability. I don't think I can justify buying them twice even though I see myself actually completing more of them if I had access to them while I'm on the go. They wouldn't have to compete with Destiny 2, Witcher 3, etc when I sit down on the couch and play something on my Xbox. Tons of good recommendations in here. What I ended up getting was Steamworld Dig 2 and also Snipperclips (mainly to play with the GF and see if individual joy cons as controllers have any value). Using the joy con for Snipperclips didnt cramp my hand nearly as much as I was expecting, which is a surprise because my 3DS certainly does. I'm completely smitten with Steamworld Dig 2 so far, and the fact that I really am digging how sharp the screen looks makes it even better. I almost did a silly thing and bought Zelda and MK8 for a second time just to see those pretty games on the nice screen but I snapped out of it when I got to the $90.00 Canadian checkout page. I'll probably hold on a full priced game till Odyssey, but Rabbids might tempt me from what you guys have said in here. Hoping that Golf Story game ends up being cool as well. Thanks again everyone!

I ordered a Switch off Amazon in order to make sure I have my hands on one by the time Mario Odyssey releases. Tracking says it's being delivered today and I know I will want something to play on it before the end of October. I've already played through BOTW on the Wii U so I don't see myself double dipping on that, at least this shortly after. I don't see myself picking up Arms or Splatoon, the former because this doesn't interest me and the latter because I will be using it a lot as a handheld. What have you Switch owners played that you would recommend? The cheaper the better, but I don't mind springing for one full priced game if it's great.

Hey everyone. I just saw the post for the job opening of video producer on the west coast team. This made me think that I should have learned video production years ago so I could at least be considered as an applicant for the position, considering it would be a dream job for me. It has got me thinking about what the best skills to learn are that would be most applicable to get into the video game industry, on either side (press/dev). I feel like the Dan Ryckert method of writing hundreds of reviews on your own, being persistent, and then lucking out is probably not the best way to do it anymore. With so much content being video based these days, is learning "video production" a valuable use of time? What about programming? I realize this is a really broad question, but was curious if anyone in the community here has gotten a job in the industry and what path they took to get there. Sorry if this topic has been discussed ad nauseam, but I really am interested to hear from people who have succeeded with employment in this area. Thanks duders and dudettes.

@mezza: @ultimategamer69: Thanks for the suggestions! That's interesting about the FOV, I had no idea. Unfortunately I have the game on Xbox and there are no settings in the video settings tab beyond "brightness". Haha. If it is just a straight up FOV thing then I guess I'm SOL.

@Justin258 I've had this issue in the dark and with all the lights on in my apartment. Maybe I'll try the lamp behind the TV just to give it a shot!

So, that new Wolfenstein trailer at the Bethesda press conference looked insane and got me pretty excited. It made me remember that I own The New Order, but have never played more than an hour of it. Every time I fire it up, it takes about ten minutes until my face gets hot and I start feeling nauseous. I have played hundreds of hours of shooters and have never experienced anything like this at all. Does anyone have a similiar experience with this game or another? And is there something the game is doing that would be triggering this? I really want to play that game.

@hotsaucerman: It's $600 CAD!

Oh yeah, you're right. I just did a dollar for dollar conversion when they first announced the price. But I mean, that's still about $670.00 after tax. I can barely justify buying a Switch at this point, so the Xbox One X is completely out of the picture for me. But I guess it's a machine that isn't built for me.

Really hyped right now actually, if the apparent leak of Ori and the Will of the Wisps is real.

That would be great. I just finished Ori and the Blind Forest a week or two ago. Awesome game in it's own right, and also one of the few games I don't mind listening to podcasts to. Any voice acting or dialogue stuff and I just can't do it.
