The combo system is great, especially when you get to the point where the entire color palette shifts to the beat of the music.
The big problem with this game is that once you get to the second world they start having a lot of enemies not on your level, which gets really fucked since you can only shoot left and right by default. It made me really just stick a loadout with a head that lets you rotate in midair, allowing you to shoot diagonally, and a special item that explodes in a ring around you.
In ranking Nintendo franchises, feel like they forgot how big Fire Emblem is in Japan. And how Nintendo historically tends to care more about games big in Japan as opposed to ones that do better overseas like Metroid and Wars. Of course, FE is now huge worldwide, but it felt fairly niche before that.
The lack of Daud in Dishonored 2 was one of the things that killed the story for me, and the concept of trying to kill the demigod Gerard Way seems interesting. Tentatively excited.
Also, yeah Wolfenstein looks like it really benefited from a dose of New Doom and Danger 5.
