Majestic is a great call out, would be great to learn more about that game's development.

My first thought was Final Fantasy XV just because there must be an absurd amount of stories to cover over the 10~ years of development. An actual honest accounting of the twists and turns taken during development would be fascinating.

@whatwasthegame: Sorry to hear that! As far as it still existing, I'd say there's a relatively high chance someone has archived it in Flashpoint so if you're really dedicated you could put in the time to look through the database and you might come across the game you're looking for.

I agree one of the wildest things about these 'Deep Dive' videos is that Tommy seemingly has no idea how to talk about basic game features. Like I understand maybe the idea is to explain mechanics that are commonplace nowadays to his seemingly intended unicorn market but he doesn't even do a particularly good job of explaining things in easy to understand language either! Just bizarre all around.

@thewebexpert: Given the time period, this might be Demon Stalkers? If not I'd recommend looking through this list and you might find what you're looking for there.

@youeightit: I'm guessing the implication is that it's a basic 'support group' for people who struggle to actually finish games for whatever myriad reason. It's a topic that's popped up on these forums more often in recent times.

Anyway you've caught me at a rare time where I'm actually playing the hottest new releases so I guess my 3 are:

1. SMT V - currently playing this, hoping to have it done in time for

2. FFXIV Endwalker - I guess in this context 'finished' refers to finishing the Main Scenario Quests so that I can move on to

3. FFXIV Endwalker Raids and everything else - I mean honestly who knows how long the black hole of FFXIV will take hold of me this time around, I'm expecting quite a few months.

Is this… SeventhLine?

This feels like a distinct possibility.

The points about sales are already being addressed so instead I'll ask what use case would anyone possibly have had for an LTE-3DS? I just checked and my 3DS XL when unfolded is only slightly smaller than an iPad mini, unless you meant the screens alone should be iPad sized which sounds like it would be impossible to hold comfortably with 1 hand. Also I'm not sure any handheld console was ever intended to 'evangelise' users away from the mobile market, that's just not the main target demographic.

The part where the "it's for people who don't play games" pitch breaks down for me is that they're selling a $250 system to play flash/java-level games that anybody who has a PC could find for free. Mobile games look better than this and most everybody has a capable enough phone.

I just don't understand the where they think they're gonna find this mythical segment of people who:
A) don't play video games regularly but have vague fond ideas about old video games
B) don't want to play these games online/on phones for free but want to pay $250+extra for games

I get that not everyone might not know where to play free Unity games or whatever but presumably if someone manages to become aware of an incredibly niche machine like this thing then they are capable of basic Google searches for 'free online tank game'.

@mazdingo: Can't say I remember match searching through browser but this sounds a lot like Rakion.

If that isn't right then thank you regardless for reminding me of my fond memories playing that goofy ass game. Moved right onto GunZ as dictated by the trends in my part of the world at the time.
