I actually do enjoy cinematic games, while I haven't played heavy rain(no ps3), I did enjoy Indigo Prophecy quite a bit. But FF XIII isnt just cinematic. Its almost Only cinematic without even an illusion of choice.
The problem with it being such a linear slow paced cinematic game, is that it isn't a game. I've been playing rpgs since the nes days, so its not like i'm an rpg virgin. I have to agree with other people that this game only scored so high because of the name. And it should not feel like a part time job just to get to a point where the game gets good. Its basically a slightly interactive movie. I'll give it another couple hours, but i am starting to think that the age of good jrpgs is over.
@fripplebubby At the dashboard, when the disk is inserted in only says play game, not telling me what game is in. Best Case = Loads to Infinity Ward logo then stops Worst Case = Doesn't load, only tells me disk is either dirty or unreadable. (no scratches or dirt anywhere)
P.S. i dont believe i am over reacting. I just believe that a game that came in a $150 package should, well, work.
So i received Modern Warfare 2 prestige edition for Christmas. Played a couple missions and the I was off to the in-laws house. Since the little woman wont allow me to bring things such as an xbox to her parents house 4 hours away in the middle of nowhere, I was stuck waiting to get home to finish the game.
This is where the story gets really funny. I get home a few hours ago, put the baby back to bed, and then proceed to insert the game into my xbox.
Guess what happens next.
Thats right... nothing, not a damned thing. Tried it 4 or 5 times, tried cleaning the disk, resetting the xbox, but nothing. Even tried installing to hard drive, but it wont finish the installation. Just keeps telling me the disk that was only used for maybe an hour was unreadable.
Anyone had the same problem? Or better yet, anyone have a good solution?
