Games I'm Playing Right Now And What I Think Of Them

List items

  • Playing a lot of bass/guitar and vocals at the same time, all on Expert. Creates a new challenge to pay attention to both note highways, which is tons of fun. Like other Rock Band games, though, solo play is not nearly as fun as playing with a group. Loving the music, and the style of the entire game.

  • Spent the first 5 hours of this game (after the tutorial missions) running around the city. Then I actually tried out the story. Was fine up until a certain boss fight, which involved three armor meters, that you take down to make the main health meter vulnerable for about 15 second, and then the three meters go up again. One of the most frustrating boss fights ever.

And then I fought the end boss. Oh my god, that was almost as bad.

  • Picked this one up on launch day, and had a love/hate relationship with it. The story, presentation, stealth mechanics, combat, it was all fine.

The problems I had with the game had to do with most of the boss fights. The Scarecrow levels were excellently designed, but the side-scrolling portions reminded me of another really old game doing the exact same thing, and made it feel poor. Also, the second last boss fight was ridiculously hard. You fight two Titan-afflicted henchmen, along with wave after wave of regular henchmen. It took me at least 15 tries to beat this boss, and when I did, it was pure luck.

  • Still playing it. Still love it. Cannot wait for The Ballad of Gay Tony.

  • Impulsively got this as something to run on my netbook to pass the time, and it's become very addictive very fast. Not too far into it, but the difficulty is increasing at a pitch perfect pace.
