Think of this from a sports journalist perspective. If they leak pictures of the Lakers Christmas Jersey and were then black balled by the Lakers from all laker games and press events, would we be so empathetic with the Lakers? Although I think Ubisoft are well within the right to do what they do , it's still true that it is an over reaction.
You could argue it comes from kotaku not being much more than a marketing site. So publishers don't have to take you seriously like they would the NY Times or a site purely dedicated to journalism. Being a real news outlet means not being afraid to deal with shit like this. So kotaku need to decide who they truly want to be.
