  • As much as I love Bayonetta and played the hell out of this game still takes the throne. Bioware has continued to create a universe that has become the star wars/star trek of video games to me. From the gripping and mind-blowing opening scene, your reunion with characters like Garrus, all the way to that crazy ending that makes you want the next game right now Mass Effect 2 held me in it's grasp. I played the game for hours on end and there are hours to play with all the side missions and DLC. Bioware stripped out what bogged down the first game while refining everything you loved about it. Amazing new characters that you just want to know more about them even when you get to the end of their conversation strings. It's not a perfect game, no game is, but this is pretty damn close and definitely my favorite game of the year!

  • Damn...goddamn this game turned my opinion about it around as quickly as possible. I dismissed it as a side adventure with mostly multiplayer and no reason to play story-wise. DO NOT BE FOOLED, this game has a great narrative that for the third time leaves you with a huge anticipation for how this wraps up. They've also taken everything you loved about about the second game and made it bigger, stronger, faster, and harder. There is so much to do in this game it's almost ovewhelming but satisfying all the same. If you love Assassins Creed or just open world games in general you owe it to yourself to play it, definitely a top game of the year.

  • Such a surprise, the demo made a really great impression on me and Amazon's sale of the game for $25 for the day definitely tipped the scales into a purchase. I am so glad i did as this turned out to be another favorite game of the year. Ninja Theory is the king of mocap and it adds to the depth of the characters. And that is the big thing with this game, the characters themselves. The story itself is okay but the dialogue is the best even beating Mass Effect at points.
