My experience with Resistance 2, and crack.

This is part one of my PlayStation 3 blog series. I have owned an Xbox for all my life (well, you get the point), and recently purchased a PS3. I am now playing a lot of PS3-exclusive games and blogging about them.
My experience with Resistance 2
I don't want to over-simplify Resistance 2, but that game is Half-Life on crack.
The story is pretty different, but the vibe I was getting felt very similar to Half Life 2. Even the rocket launch and the boxes the ammo comes in seem like they were very directly inspired by Half-Life.
I enjoyed the weapons with all of their secondary fires. The sniper rifle is awesome, as well as the Auger that allows you to shoot through walls.
But Resistance 2 is a hard game. I started on normal difficulty, but had to drop down to casual because of some very tough/annoying encounters. The gigantic whatever-they're-called are a pain to take down, but rewarding.
There was a really great moment towards the beginning of the game where you walk outside only to witness San Francisco being invaded. The alien ships are in there air, the sky is a fiery orange, and some very fitting music is playing.
Overall, quite a lot of fun. Multiplayer seems to be dead for the most part, which makes sense.
