I have been thinking about Sony Europe's Double Life advert a lot recently. I think it is one of the most brilliant commercials of all time. It's weird as hell and the images border on flat out disturbing but if you think about it, the message is completely accurate. We all live double lives. We all become fictional characters on a day to day basis.  
 

It puts gaming in a postive light, to me at least. We've experienced virtual situations, worlds, characters. Interaction is what made this possible, games are not movies but their own medium.

That is a very odd commercial compared to what we would show in the States. But I agree with the concept of the commercial.

Yeah too bad they dont put commercials like that in the US 
it really was a great commercial

deadly although the women in this are a mess and some the the young men look normal. Kind of contradictory.

In reality we have all lived a double life.  Those of us who are good, yearn to be bad and those of us who are bad, yearn to be good.

Bad for gaming. All those people will be like, "OMG They indulge in violence and enjoy it!?!> Liek, don't let dat happen to our children!!!1!1!!" 
 
 
But I still think it's an awesome commercial, I love it.
