I have a 360 slim as well.  I was using a launch 360 running NXE on it and everything always took a few seconds to load if not longer (sometimes 20 seconds after coming back from a game or loading up the arcade game listings)  The slim seems to load everything MUCH FASTER.  Loading up my arcade games (about 60 or so) takes only a second, sometimes faster but never more than three seconds.  Everything else browsing around has only been taking me less than a second if the 360 doesn't have to connect to the internet or anything (facebook, netflix, zune, etc.)    If you have an older 360 model, this new 360 is so worth it.   EDIT:  I'll try to post a video later if I can demonstrating load times on browsing the interface. I dont get why people go on about the data transfer kit. You can backup anything onto a USB drive, or just re-download it from the account management page.

I thought that when you went to sleep...Bill Gates would secretly sneak out of the Xbox slim..and stare at you while you slept...then walk around the house looking for anyother gaming consoles you own...and then..oh yes..maybe you have a wii and ps3 also? He finds that and gets very angry....and then you wake up the next morning......and you turn on your xbox....and the loading screen stays there..and then all of a sudden...a SUPER CLOSE UP IMAGE OF A VERY ANGRY BILL GATES stares at you.....for hours...and hours...and that my friend...is the new version of the red ring of death :)

As far as I know, yes. It's because the license transfer is for transferring licenses from an old console to a new one. As long as that's happening, you have to transfer licenses. If you are just moving content from HDD to HDD and keeping the same console, there would be no need.  I really don't know for sure though. Pure speculation. To be honest the whole license thing is confusing and a huge pain. "

I transfered everything that I couldn't redownload (like game saves) onto a flash drive. Kinda sucks because I have to do another license transfer to the new console. Except I cant do it without calling tech support and complaining because the licenses were recently transfered to my old repaired console and you can only transfer once per year. "
