I haven't played Nier Automata yet, but the music clips they played remind me alot of Taro Yoko's last project, Drakengard 3. I know the game wasn't great (although I loved the story) but it may be worth while to look up the soundtrack.

Pretty much an improved version of the same game, which was pretty much Smash T.V.

For anyone craving more of a Gauntlet vibe with similar aesthetics, I suggest Hammerwatch on Steam.

I'm making my way through Twin Peaks Season Two right now on Netflix and man it's rough. So many pointless and mundane side stories. I came for the weirdness, and so far season 2 is all about insurance fraud and Audrey getting kidnapped.

Looked like there was some real time damage modeling going on there when he was hacking at the giant's leg.

Wow this seems to have a really different vibe than past Tales games. I'm intrigued!

I love me some JRPGs and I've always liked Star Ocean but this.. just doesn't look very good.

Based on Brad's comments in the latest podcast this most definitely does not look like a loot-driven game or a "destiny type game with pirates". Looks disappointing to me. Great looking water though.

There's alot of the unlock stuff, like the emotes, that I was interested in seeing. It's too bad Jeff felt the need to yell "Whatever!" "Who cares!" over and over again until Dan just skipped past it all.
