ok so I basically turned everything off and still had a choppy game. I turned the resolution down to 1280 by 1024 and the game ran smooth....ugh What do we think is the problem if resolution is the whats causing me to lag?
I am going to have to download this stuff I guess ( monitoring tools, like msi afterburner and coretemp). I see a GeForce 260 card is about $99 on new egg but I dont want to have to buy that if I can find out why it is so choppy and fix it on current hardware.
Wondering also if this helped I am having the same problem with a decent rig. I want to run med settings on 1920 by 1080....should be fine right? (AMD Quad Core, 4GB RAM, 1 GB Graphics card)
