Ubisoft who publishes the game in PAL regions held a launch party at the IMAX in Sydney tonight for the 360 release. They showed the usual footage plus a scene that hadn't been showed in the country before. Unfortunately, no cameras allowed so i don't have any pictures. However the one thing that I noticed the most during hands on is that...the game...didn't look very nice. In terms of picture quality generally, although this may have been the television on that particular display unit.
They had a prize draw at the end of the night, prizes including a special edition of the game and the FFXIII collectors edition 360 bundle. I did not win either unfortunately. Although enough free pizza and drinks to last me a while, makes up for it. Not to mention that they had so many free posters to hand out here was a huge pile left over and people were snatchin em up! I got 5-6 myself.

To be honest the ending isn't all that great, one thing I did notice though was that they use real (I think?) photos of in game characters that look quite good! All in all a really good game, although maybe a tad stale by the end.
I only really managed to miss one thing and that was that I didnt fight against one of the factions. Although I did help Freedom a lot. I can't believe I spent so long obsessing over getting my equipment right, I could have finished the game a LOT earlier.
I played a Dragon Age a LOT, but it was only recently I realised something. Dragon Age was the first time I had experienced a realistic and meaningful moral predicament. Let me explain.
I was playing a good character, so every quest I'd play until I was given a choice and then go "Ah! thats the good choice and thats the bad choice" and I'd pick the good choice which to me was pretty clear cut. Thats the problem morality games have had. Moral ambiguity.
**Spoilers past here** During the Dwarven quest line I was presented with backing a specific candidate for king. To me, one was clearly good and one was clearly bad. I made my usual decision, backed the good guy and was done with it. Funny thing was, after I finished the game, the outcome of my actions was quite negative. The King I backed was dead and people were fighting more than before. "Heh" i thought, must be unavoidable.
It was only recently I realised the full extent of the consequences. The good king was old, and traditional, annddd he was (i believe) chosen by the previous king. It just made sense. The other guy was trying to sabotage the good king. Not only that but it was commonly believed that he killed his own brothers to rise in power.
During the last PC Gamer Podcast I was listening to their description of the Dwarven origin stories and the caste system and I realised... I had made the WRONG choice. The other candidate was clearly bad, but it was because I didn't understand their culture, I was an outsider. Furthermore he was young, and believed in a casteless system, something that would have freed the people. So what if he was ruthless and a murderer? He was better for the people. I had made a choice, continued with the story and it was WRONG. Dragon Age continues to blow my mind.

Reccomend me something videogame related around $300. I have a 360. So far I've considered a Nintendo DSi, Rockband 2 or a Bunch of 360 games (I have a back catalogue to catch up on.)

The Chaser's War on Everything from what I've heard should of been brought to the USA not very long ago. They've had controversies aplenty with them getting through APEC security dressed as Bin Laden and making a song about dead people who are bastards. The latest one I'm not so sure about...even if they manage to make it funny sometimes I don't know how to deal with that. It's satire so it did its job well but man..
