AC IV Black Flag review

First time so go easy.

I have been playing Assassins Creed IV Black Flag since the launch of the PS4. I am currently ranked 8022 in the world for most prosperous pirates. What this means I have no clue but I have thoroughly enjoyed the game thus far. I particularly enjoyed not only the excellent graphics but the exceptional continuation of the Assassin's story from the DNA of Desmond Miles. This game actually takes many of the great aspects of its predecessors and puts them all together. Of course the hidden blades are an all time favorite aspect of the Assassin but the introduction of dual wielding swords is also pretty incredible to me. This makes the action sequence not only new but unique to this game. The concept of running through trees is also reproduced in this game but in a more functional way in that instead of a web of interlocking paths like in AC 3, the trees in AC 4 actually serve the purpose of both escape and stalking routes. Another thing I was happy to have brought back from the AC2 and Brotherhood games is the close proximity of the buildings to each other. Any AC 3 players would recognize that moving across rooftops was very difficult in AC3 whereas, this has been improved upon in 4. The expansion of the naval aspect of 3 into the pirate life of 4 is another improvement in my mind. These have particularly been a constant source of entertainment almost to the point at times I could care less about the story but instead trying to find the highest level of "man of war" or frigate to incapacitate then board and add to my fleet. One disappointment about this game has been the exclusion of the bomb making that was an interesting aspect of Revelations but the fact that I can wear Altair's costume throughout the game almost makes up for it. I haven't finished the story line game simply for being too caught up finding all the collectibles and completing all the side missions that in my mind are necessary in order to get the Platinum trophy for PSN but, we each have our faults.

Well this is my first blog I guess, hope it wasn't horrible.
