Jordan1900: Best of 2010

List items

  • This game got me back into WoW. Even though I haven't event gotten into the actual expansion content yet, I feel that with the hours I've managed to find to dedicate to this - especially at this time of the year - it would be sacrilege to have anything else as my game of the year.

  • This game is broken, and yet I continue to play it.

I was seriously considering this to be my Number 1 game, but I was unable to justify it to myself.

A strong contender for my 2011 Game of 2010

  • I played both Red Dead and GTA Liberty City Stories this year, and only one of them made my list. The character took a while for me to connect with, and even though the ending was spoiled for me, I still enjoyed it.

Red Dead was a game that felt bigger than what it was.

  • Fahrenheit was an amazing story telling game until it went crazy. I was hoping for something similar with Heavy Rain. They pulled it together, and despite the reveal being cheap and poorly executed, I appreciated every single second this game gave me. This is the game I want to see more off - and hope I will.

  • Pure unadulterated fun. I never finished the story, but I don't feel lesser for it.

    More Base Jumping!

  • A great game, but I don't know how much of a lasting impression its left on me. The problem with being a middle chapter in a trilogy is that nothing is definite. I've no idea what matters and what doesn't in terms of the ending.

There were some horribly difficult choices for me to make though.

I really must play the DLC - maybe it will re spark my appreciation of this game.

  • I was looking forward to this game for ages, and despite knowing how I COULD play it, I opted to play it in my traditional Splinter Cell style. I think because I did, I got more out of it than others.

  • I took a while to appreciate this came. When I started playing it, I thought it was great. When I finished it, I didn't know what I thought. When I thought about it, I liked it again.

I ultimately felt that Limbo teased my with a story it didn't tell, to get me through a game I wasn't entirely interested in.

  • I played a lot of Starcraft in my day, and just before this one came out I said to myself, I said "You're going to get into the multiplayer".

    I didn't.

But the single player did things that I haven't seen done before in terms of story.

  • Yeah. I don't know how I felt about this. I had no expectations, but you could have fooled me if you said it was by Treyarch.

I still finished it in a single session. That's gotta mean something.

  • Honorable mention. Games rarely make me laugh.

    This was a rare occasion.

  • This came out on PC this year, so I only played it this year.

    2010 Game of 2009.

  • I want this game to be good - I just cant find the spirit to keep playing it.

The 2010 Game I want to fit on my 2010 Top 10 List
