So, I was browsing Twitch and all of the sudden I noticed that a stream was showing the 2013 crew from GiantBomb. They were playing X-Files. Yes, the 7 CDROM game... I loved it... Even if at some point the video froze. It brings back memories from a time I checked this website on a daily basis. And then I left for reasons that are now part of the past.

I checked the website. My account is still here. The website is 10 years old. 10 years since some crazy mo*** fu**** decided to make a REAL website about games after being burned for a shitty game called Kane & Lynch.

For that I will become a premium again. Sorry for the absence and hope the money help you guys doing what you do best.

Like I said, maybe it's just me and I'm completely wrong. And I know that there are awesome persons that aren't subscribers and that the idea about chat exclusive is unfair to them (you being one of them and I thank you for your reply). I'm just trying to figure out how the community is this days. The problem can be me and not anyone else so... And yes, their expansion to NY is great and I always like to watch Vinny being Vinny. Maybe I'm just getting older and not going with the flow... Maybe I just miss the old days and not being able to leave them as they are (the past). One thing is certain, I'm not saying that I don't like GB anymore, maybe I just love it to much to accept changes :) (I'm a selfish prick) :)

So, that time of the year as come, I've received the GB email stating that the time as come to pay up, and for the first time I'm feeling doubts about paying.

I can't say for sure why this is happening. Maybe the so long waited transition that Jeff talked so much about has come, and with that, changes start to happen.

Our community is way more larger than it was some years ago and the trolls have appeared, a situation inherent to all forums/websites that start to become known to the causal website gamers. That just give me a firm opinion that us, Premium Subscribers and fans of this guys work through the good and bad years, should be recognized for our love for this project and for them. There are several ways for this to happen, including during events (public one's like E3 and so on) a chat channel exclusive to us or something like that. This was proposed during E3 and it was said that Jeff just wanted everyone to be allowed to speak. I completely understand his idea, since they have to attract new costumers in order for their business to grow. But that is probably what is causing me some concerns. I never saw GB like the others game websites/forums and I never will and seeing this taking steps to become one, just turns me off. In 36 years, the GiantBomb project was the only website that I've payed for a subscription maybe because I felt their love for games and a "I don't give a flying f***" about the mainstream. Now I'm feeling that's changing because of a need to grow to become that mainstream.

I'm sorry if I'm wrong, it's just my opinion. I haven't decided if I'm going to renew nor I'm saying that will never again. Just wanted to say something about this... Nevertheless I continue to love the guys and the old school community that made me laugh and sometimes cry and I really hope all the best for GB. They deserve it.

I'm sorry to all fanboys who love to argue about the futility of best generation consoles but this year the games won. Screw the console manufacturer's. Sad that many of the best games are 2015. Should't they call this E3 (2015) and give next year a rest?

Cherish the moments with him. I had a father like yours that cared and always helped others even if he didn't knew them and he always had something cheerfull to say even if it was about sad things. There is always the other side of the situation and he always have the positive one in the tip of his tongue. Being like them (happy and positive persons like your father, mine and people like Ryan) is difficult but if we could sometimes just tried, it would be a better world and thats for sure.

OK guys... Subscription renewd. And the nicest thing and i wasn't expecting is the crew from GB congratulating for the thing. And in the end your hear Ryan's laugh. Epic, marvelous and peacefull.
