@ripelivejam: I don't it's unrealistic to expect the guys to do a little homework on the games involved in their goty discussion. I don't expect them to beat every game discussed but it would be nice if their discussions and opinions were more informed. It's not a serious podcast but I respect the opinions of the staff and it would be, personally, more interesting if their arguments came from a position of first hand experience.

@lambent: I sorta agree, I can understand not finishing a game you actively dislike but the no time/I'm too busy rationale that is often thrown around is a bit odd. Back in the GameSpot review mill days I could see that kind of reasoning so it's a bit of a bummer that every year these discussions are one or two guys arguing for a game the rest of the crew didn't play.

That being said decision by committee type arguments are never going to be easy. It would be nice if they were all equipped to have real conversations about the games they are talking about for goty.

Kudos to the guys for the sheer length of the podcasts this year though.

Alex is a super sharp dude with a really funny dry wit. Just saying that for the sake of saying that. I like the dude's stuff.

Just a counterpoint to Austin's Twitter comment. I can definitely see where you're coming from when folks who follow you complain about your Twitter feed. But to be fair you guys have your Twitter feeds right on the front page of the site. I choose to ignore them as Twitter just seems kinda stupid to me but whether I want to engage with it or not it's still pretty prominently on the front page of the site. Do I feel the need to create a Twitter account to tell you your, or anyone else's, feed sucks? No, but there are times there was a check box in the site preferences to just remove all the Twitter shit.

@a_turtle: Think your perception of 'weed culture' is pretty high school focused man.
