I feel like I'm always off on an island with this one, but I just don't care about Legend of Zelda. I have tried for many years to get into the series, and I just always end up getting bored half of the way through and stopping. Glad that it is so inspirational for so many others though!

I've been following this story for the last few weeks and I'm of the mind that whether you pot split or not, players should pick their best characters / teams. The fans want to see the best go up against the best, not watch players hit random select.

That being said, this issue probably has a lot more to do with ChrisG, rather than some new prevailing trend in the community. ChrisG just seems to keep convincing players that they should just goof off in the finals because it doesn't really matter. He's been doing it for years now, apparently because he feels like people are bored of his normal characters.

Pretty surprising that they would do a complete 180 on these issues. Granted, that's what people wanted, but we never thought that would actually happen. Good on them though, this will make the competition between Microsoft and Sony more fun to watch!

@andrewb: From what I understand, they'll be playing Friday, Saturday, Sunday and then a hard stop on Monday. They just didn't have the chance to take off that much time from work. So if you are looking to be around for most of it, just focus in on those days. =)
