As an update to this: I've been messing around with the "Browse Games" section a little more and have found some common problems. All of the sorting tabs (Major Games, Alphabetical, etc.) work fine, however, as soon as you try to filter by platform, it defaults to the Alphabetical tab, and the list returned is not sorted in any discernible way (however it is the same list every time), the only exception to this is that the Major Games tab works fine even when sorted by platform.

EDIT: As of about 2:00 PM EST, the Release Date tab is broken again, regardless of whether or not a platform filter is selected. All other tabs appear to be working fine, however, attempting to select a platform filter in these tabs boots you back to the Major Games tab with no platform filter selected

EDIT 2: Manually editing the URL seems to work again, although the format has changed from before. It used to require filter_type=platform&filter_value=PC, but now works simply as platform=PC, so I can manually do this: http://www.giantbomb.com/games/?page=55&sort=release_date&platform=PC and get to the 55th page of the list, sorted by release date, and filtered by platform. However, manually editing the URL appears to be the only way to do this, as attempting to change the platform filter in the drop-down menu still kicks you back to the Major Games tab. I'm not entirely sure what kind of tweaks are being made that are causing this, but I think this is progress. Also, if memory serves, I was browsing games chronologically before this whole fiasco, and the beginning of 2005 was somewhere around the 85th page, now it's the 55th, so there are possibly a metric ton of games missing from the list, but I can't confirm this suspicion (perhaps there are simply now more results per page?)

Well, browsing by release date now correctly returns a list of games ordered by release date, but it is still impossible to browse by release date within a certain platform. Also, attempting to browse games of a specific platform alphabetically now returns the same random list of games generated before, regardless of which platform is selected.

I actually revived an old bug report thread for this, but I've just discovered that the bug is even worse than previously thought. It's always been the case that you couldn't browse games of a specific platform by release date without modifying the URL manually (see http://www.giantbomb.com/forums/bug-reporting/33/browsing-list-of-pc-games-by-release-date/499302/#7). But a change within the past few days has rendered modifying the URL useless. What I have also just discovered is that browsing games on all platforms by release date seems to return a random list of games for all platforms, in no particular order.

This is broken again, I believe due to a change in the past few days?
