As a kid, I would have called Baldur's Gate 2 my favorite game ever, but as an adult, there's no faster way to lose my interest than the words "Fantasy Medieval Europe RPG." I tried to power through Witcher 3 after hearing the glowing praise, but it just couldn't hold my attention and I, too, fell off after the Bloody Baron Quest.
Like, the writing could be the greatest of all time, but the pacing and delivery isn't good enough to keep me wanting to move forward. I'd probably love a game with the Witcher's writing and the delivery of a Telltale game.
Invisible Inc. is so good that it makes me a lot less excited for XCOM 2.
I know that's a really shitty way of putting it, but when I see the gameplay videos with soldiers missing like 8 times in a row, it just bums me out because of how tight Invisible Inc. is without that randomness.
