76082	New Game	Game	1991 arcade puzzle-action game using mahjong tiles. Runs on the same hardware as Super Burger Time (1990). I'd like to add this page to give a place to document this game's mechanics; it's difficult to find info about this game online, even in Japanese. This game is notable as it's very different from "mahjong solitaire" (e.g. Taipei in Windows Entertainment Pack, Shanghai Solitaire, etc.). Instead, this game uses the original rules of mahjong (a tile game similar to the card game rummy) as the basis for clearing tiles and earning points; each stage is completed by clearing four "melds" (straight, three-of-a-kind, four-of-a-kind) and one pair. Early stages start with a blank playfield, while later ones start adding more difficult layouts of revealed/unrevealed tiles you must build around.
