So about two weeks ago I'd say, I picked up a SNES on deal at a local shop for $40.00.   It came with the system, one controller, and Super Mario World.   Been playing it on and off since I picked it up, along with Street Fighter II Turbo.  I cannot tell you how fucking much it makes me miss when I was younger and playing these games.  Just makes me kind of sad that most games are no longer about fun and gameplay, but about fucking graphics and story-lines.  Seriously, it's fucking ridiculous.   To make things worse, my parents think that it was a waste of money when I bought it, considering THEY sold MY old SNES without my permission back in the day. 
 
Enough of the rage though, onto better things.  My grandfather surprised me today and brought me a copy of Donkey Kong Country that he managed to find online.  Looked at the box, and thought "Fuck, this thing is gonna be in bad shape".  Damn, was I wrong.  Honest to god one of the best looking SNES cartridges I've seen in a while.  Plan to keep it that way, provided my shit of a younger sibling keeps his grimy hands off of it.  Played through about 75% of the game alone tonight, couldn't put it down until just now to write about it.  Wish it would last me longer, but this game has to much re-play value that I think I will be set for a while.  
 
I've also noticed that I've been watching many (and I mean MANY) speed-runs lately.  I cannot get enough of them for whatever reason.  It's too bad that I have too much going on with school and what not that I can't be fucked to try and do a run myself.  One particular game comes to mind when it comes to speed-runs, though.  That would be Super Metroid.  Now, I don't think I really need to stress the awe and glorious of the game itself, but seeing someone fly through it almost perfect just leaves me nerd-gasmed out so to say.  (Shit, that was a long sentence).  
 
With that I think I'll head to bead, fucking 2:30 A.M.?  Damn.
