It might be. I couldn't find any video files within the directory itself, but it sounds likely. How do I fix a video codec issue?

There are very few graphics options and there seems to be no options on quality. Running in compatibility mode or administrator mode didn't work either.

However, I tried opening my laptop in safety mode and then the videos worked! But since it's in safety mode, the sound doesn't work, so I still can't really play it. I don't know what this means or where I go from here.

I've now tried that and my video drivers are up to date. I uninstalled and installed the game again and still, nothing has changed.

I'm not going to give up before I've tried out every option, but for the moment I can't figure it out. I even tried installing the game on another laptop similar to my own and the same thing happens.

My Laptop is a Lenovo B575e and it has ADM E2-1800 APU with Radeon HD Graphics, which I think is dual core. It has 4 GB RAM, which should meet the requirements.

I did buy it through Steam. I verified the game contents and it all checked out fine.

The picture is a screenshot of what I see when attempting to play it. The sound is fine and I can click in the different options, but the video doesn't work.

First off, I know nothing about computers or gaming but I bought this game for my laptop as I really liked the concept.

After having downloaded it I realize that none of the videos work. It shows the menu and the arrows showing which way to go when attempting to play the game, but the background is completely black and no videos are playing.

I go back to check the requirements (I didn't even consider that this could be an issue, because it didn't look like a super heavy game and I'm not a gamer) and it says that the game prefers quad core and I only have dual-core. Can this be why I am having problems and is there any way I can play it with dual core? Is it an absolute minimum requirement?

Please help me! I've tried to look for answers, but noone seem to experience this.
