Australian R18+ Games Classification Discussion Paper

The long awaited discussion paper for the R18+ classification of games has finally been released.
Details for the paper can be found on the Attorney-General's Department website and the discussion paper can be found here
If you wish to make a submission, the details for entry as well as a template can be found here

All submissions must be made by COB on the 28th of February 2010.

PLEASE do not just send in hate mail or stupid comments because they won't be accepted and they definitely won't help our cause.
This is our chance to make a difference to how our country perceives "gamers" as well eliminating the need for censoring or banning games that do not meet the current highest rating of MA15+.

I have great hopes for this.

@Mars_Cleric:  Is R18+ lie our AO rating? Does that mean crazy-violent games like Left 4 Dead 2 can finally be rated and sold to adults? I lived in New Zealand for a few years in high school, but I've already forgotten how the rating system works.

No, it's like are M rating. Our M rating is technically 17+, but it's the equivalent of what the Australian R18+ rating will be.

sort of
most games that are rated M in America will be rated MA15+ in Australia
the R18+ rating would allow for the classification and sale of content up to what is restricted by other forms of media rated by the OFLC

so of course that means that every six year old kid in Australia would be virtually raping everything in sight and then ripping people apart with their bare hands and bathing in their blood
...yes
